How Custom Orders Work

Custom work with BrassNoor follows five simple steps. We keep the process human, because every project is different, and a form cannot tell us what a conversation can.

1. Tell us about the project. Send us a message describing what you want: the room or the building, the measurements you have, the kind of light you are imagining, and any photos or sketches that help. A hotel lobby, a restaurant dining room, an entryway at home. The more we know about the space, the better the answer we can give. We will read everything carefully and come back with real questions, not a template. This first conversation asks for no commitment.

2. We confirm what is possible. Not everything can be built, and we will tell you plainly when something cannot. For every request we answer three questions: can the design be made at that size, can it be made to hang safely, and can it be made beautifully. If the answer to all three is yes, we move forward. If something needs to change, a dimension, a form, a way of hanging it, we will say so and propose what works. Honesty at this stage saves everyone time and disappointment later.

3. Design and quote. We agree on the design together: form, pattern, finish, dimensions, suspension, and the number of fixtures. We confirm pricing and timing with you in writing before anything is made, and nothing is made until you say yes.

4. Handcrafting. The artisans make your piece by hand: shaped, pierced and engraved, then finished with care. Custom work takes longer than ready made pieces, because each piece is made to order and every design gets extra attention. If anything changes along the way, we will tell you. From the first message to the finished piece, you deal with people who know your project by name.

5. Delivery. The finished piece is packed with care and shipped to you from Morocco. Your electrician installs it. We are available if your installer has questions about the piece.

A note on honesty: custom work is a promise between people. If your project needs something we cannot do, we would rather lose the order than make a piece we are not proud of. That is how we work, and that is how we work with you.

Revisions: if you want changes, tell us early. We will explain how changes are handled before you approve anything, so you always know where you stand.

Care

Custom pieces are cared for exactly like the rest of the collection. Unlacquered brass can be polished back to brightness or left to develop patina. Sealed, aged, antique, and patina finishes should be dusted with a dry soft cloth and never polished. Switch the light off and let the bulb cool before cleaning.
