Proper installation and maintenance will help preserve the beauty, character, and functionality of your piece for years to come.

Because brass and other natural materials change with time and environment, some changes in appearance are a normal part of their character.

1. Before Installation

Before installing your BrassNoor light, carefully inspect the product and its components.

Check:

The brass or copper body;
Glass components, where applicable;
Canopy and mounting components;
Chain or suspension system, where applicable;
Electrical components;
Screws and mounting hardware;
Any other components supplied with your order.

If your product appears damaged or incomplete when you receive it, do not install it.

Instead, contact BrassNoor and provide photographs of the product and packaging so we can review the issue.

2. Professional Installation

Electrical installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or appropriately qualified professional.

Electrical systems, wiring standards, voltage, grounding requirements, mounting systems, and building regulations can differ between countries.

The installer is responsible for ensuring that the light is installed safely and in accordance with the applicable local electrical and building regulations.

Do not attempt electrical installation if you are not appropriately qualified.

3. Turn Off the Power

Before installation, the electrical power supply must be switched off at the appropriate circuit breaker or disconnecting device.

Do not rely only on the wall switch.

The installer should verify that the electrical circuit is safely disconnected before beginning installation.

Unless specifically stated otherwise on the product page or order, bulbs are not included with BrassNoor lighting products.

For many BrassNoor designs, we generally recommend warm-toned lighting around:

2700K–3000K

Warm light can complement the brass, pierced patterns, and shadows produced by Moroccan lighting.

The appropriate bulb type, wattage, base, and voltage must always be confirmed according to the specific product specifications and local electrical requirements.

6. The Beauty of Moroccan Brass Light

Many BrassNoor pieces are designed to interact with light and shadow.

Pierced and engraved brass patterns can create distinctive shadows on walls, ceilings, and surrounding surfaces.

The appearance of these shadows can change depending on:

10. Lacquered and Protected Finishes

11. Unlacquered Brass

Unlacquered brass is intentionally left without a protective coating.

13. Glass Components

Where your BrassNoor product includes glass, clean the glass gently with a soft cloth.

14. Handling Your BrassNoor Light

20. Moving or Renovating

If a BrassNoor light needs to be removed during renovation, painting, moving, or other work, the electrical supply should first be safely disconnected.

Removal and reinstallation should be carried out by a qualified professional.

Protect the brass body, decorative elements, and glass components during storage or transportation.
