How high should they hang?
Hang pendants 75 to 90 cm (30 to 36 inches) above the island countertop, measured from the counter to the bottom of the shade. This keeps the light where you chop and cook, while keeping the fixtures out of your line of sight. If anyone in the household is very tall, hang toward the higher end.
